Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A roundtable discussion was held in Tashkent as part of the UNDP project "Empowering Youth in the Digital Economy and Digital Entrepreneurship."

During the event, international expert Aylin Trenkmann presented the findings of a study on the development of the digital economy, digital entrepreneurship, and artificial intelligence technologies in Uzbekistan.

Key topics included the impact of AI on the economy and business environment, opportunities for startups in the digital sector, and international best practices in digitalization.

Special attention was given to the role of the government and private sector in fostering an innovative ecosystem and driving technological progress.

The discussion featured contributions from Andrin Fink, Deputy Head of Mission at the Swiss Embassy in Uzbekistan, Akiko Fujii, UNDP Resident Representative in Uzbekistan, and representatives of various industry organizations. The roundtable served as an important platform for addressing the key aspects of the country’s digital transformation and the integration of AI technologies into economic processes.
