State-Owned Banks Account for 69% of All Loans in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 July 2025, the total loan portfolio of commercial banks in Uzbekistan reached 575.25 trillion soums, according to data from the Central Bank.
State-owned banks issued 394.22 trillion soums in loans, representing 69% of the total volume, while private banks accounted for 181.03 trillion soums, or 31%.
UzNational Bank remains the leader in lending with a portfolio of 109.30 trillion soums, accounting for 19% of the banking system’s total loans.
Agrobank ranks second with 73.95 trillion soums (13%), followed by UzPromStroyBank with 68.86 trillion soums (12%).
Among private banks, the largest loan portfolios are held by Ipoteka Bank — 35.07 trillion soums (6%), Capitalbank — 35.06 trillion soums (6%), and Hamkorbank — 20.84 trillion soums (4%).
The smallest loan volumes were recorded at Eurasian Bank — 0 soums, Saderat Bank of Iran — 17 billion soums, and Smart Bank — 63 billion soums.
Among state-owned banks, the smallest loan portfolios were reported at Turonbank (13.18 trillion soums), Alokabank (15.75 trillion soums), and Microcreditbank (19.70 trillion soums).
