South Korea’s AHA Co., Ltd to Launch Production of Electronic Boards and Charging Stations in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A major industrial project is being implemented in Fergana with the participation of South Korean investors. Khairullo Bozorov, the regional hokim, held a meeting with Ku Gi Do, head of AHA Co., Ltd, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of educational and medical equipment.
Construction of a US$20 million plant has begun in the industrial zone of the Ecocity.
On a four-hectare site, the factory will produce interactive flat panel displays (IFPD), electric vehicle charging stations, medical equipment, and other products for both domestic and international markets.
The plant is scheduled to reach full operational capacity next year, creating more than 200 new jobs in the region.
In the second stage of the project, production of television sets is planned. During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of construction, future development plans, and the interest of South Korean investors in expanding their presence in the Fergana region.
Bozorov confirmed the local government’s readiness to support business initiatives and stressed the importance of putting the facility into operation as soon as possible. The talks were also attended by Park Jun Ho, Rector of the Korea International University.
