Seymour Hersh: U.S. Preparing for Large-Scale Bombing of Iranian Targets
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has authorized American participation in airstrikes on Iranian territory. This was reported by Pulitzer Prize-winning American journalist Seymour Hersh, citing his own sources within American and Israeli circles.
In an article published on the platform Substack, Hersh states that he received information about the White House's decision to approve a large-scale bombing campaign targeting Iranian facilities.
According to Hersh, the actual strikes have been postponed until the end of the week at Trump's own request.
He reports that the decision was made with the intention of ensuring that the public and economic impact of the operation would subside before markets open on Wall Street on Monday.
Particular attention is being given to Iran’s nuclear facility in Fordow, where centrifuges are located at a depth of at least 80 meters underground. These deeply buried targets are not expected to be attacked before the weekend. Due to their reinforced protection, the plan reportedly involves the use of U.S. bombers equipped with bunker-busting munitions.
