Samarkand Explores Supply of Next-Generation Electric Buses from Kazakhstan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Officials in Samarkand have discussed the potential supply of next-generation electric buses from Kazakhstan.
The Hokim of Samarkand Region, Adiz Boboev, met with representatives of the Kazakh company Falcon Euro Bus, which produces modern electric buses under the brand FALCON MURAT ADILXAN.
During the meeting, the company presented its product range, including city, intercity, tourist, and airport buses measuring 9 to 18 meters in length. Approximately 70% of the assembly takes place in Almaty, with some components sourced from Europe and China.
The electric buses can travel 300–350 km on a single charge, enabling about six hours of continuous operation.
The Hokim instructed the regional transport department to arrange a meeting between the Kazakh delegation and local passenger transport entrepreneurs.
Both parties expressed willingness to explore joint projects for introducing environmentally friendly transportation in the region and to expand cooperation within the framework of the “green economy.”
