Protocol of Intent Signed to Establish the Uzbekistan–Germany University of Applied Sciences
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a working visit to Germany, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sarvarkhon Buzrukkhonov, held a meeting with Gunnar Schellenberger, President of the Parliament of the German federal state of Saxony-Anhalt.
Following the meeting, a Protocol of Intent (Letter of Intent) was signed to establish the Uzbekistan–Germany University of Applied Sciences.
The document outlines practical steps to launch a new international-level university in Uzbekistan in cooperation with Anhalt University of Applied Sciences (Germany). The new institution is expected to serve as a platform for training highly qualified professionals in engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, and international business.
Gunnar Schellenberger proposed naming the new institution the "Uzbekistan–Germany University of Applied Sciences" and expressed his readiness to personally join its Board of Trustees as the President of the Saxony-Anhalt Parliament. According to him, graduates of the university will have expanded employment opportunities in Germany.
The negotiations also addressed issues of project financing, the creation of physical infrastructure, and the implementation of international partnership mechanisms.
