Production of the Dietary Supplement “Orosol” Suspended in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Competition Development Committee of Uzbekistan, together with the Committee on Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being and Public Health, conducted an inspection of the product “Triortasol Orosol+Zinc,” manufactured by ORIENT BIOPHARM LLC.

The investigation revealed that the company had independently made changes to the packaging design and instructions for use without obtaining approval from the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee, violating established procedures. It was also found that the composition and labeling of “Triortasol Orosol+Zinc” closely resemble those of the previously released medicinal product “ORSA.”

Following the inspection, the company was instructed to suspend the production and release of the dietary supplement “Orosol” until it is redesigned in accordance with approved documentation, and to withdraw from the market all products released without proper authorization.

The collected materials have been forwarded to the Uzbekistan Accreditation Center for further review.

The Committee warned producers and importers of dietary supplements of the necessity to provide consumers with accurate and officially approved information, fully complying with existing legislation.
