Procedures for the development of cryptographic protection tools to be improved
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A decree by the President of Uzbekistan has introduced amendments to the existing regulation on the organization of cryptographic protection of information in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The adopted document addresses several important aspects aimed at improving the processes involved in the development of cryptographic protection tools.
New requirements have been introduced, mandating the use of cryptographic protection software to safeguard state secrets. Additionally, the certification period for cryptographic protection tools has been extended, ensuring their compliance with modern security standards.
Furthermore, the procedure for recognizing foreign certificates of conformity has been enhanced. The amendments clarify that the use of cryptographic protection software for safeguarding state secrets is allowed in accordance with legislative acts, national standards, and departmental documents of the authorized body.
Importantly, when such tools are used, it is necessary to notify the authorized body in writing, indicating the number of copies and the intended purposes of their use.
