Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, accompanied by his spouse, arrived in Tianjin for an official visit.

At Binhai International Airport, the Uzbek President was welcomed by China’s Minister of Transport Liu Wei and other officials. In honor of the visit, the state flags of both countries were raised, and an honor guard was presented.

According to the visit program, from 31 August to 1 September, President Mirziyoyev will participate in the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as in the “SCO Plus” summit, expected to be the largest in the organization’s history.

In his address, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will present a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening multilateral cooperation and enhancing the organization’s activities.
