Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 9 June, ahead of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with senior representatives of leading U.S. corporations and government officials.

Participants included U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Erik Meyer, Chair of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm, Vice President of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation Brays Betony, as well as executives from Boeing, FLS, Visa, NASDAQ, Air Products, Franklin Templeton, Morgan Stanley, Coca-Cola, and other major firms.

President Mirziyoyev expressed satisfaction with the growing interest of American businesses in expanding their presence in Uzbekistan.

The discussions focused on strengthening investment and technological cooperation, and implementing joint projects in areas such as the exploration and processing of strategically important natural resources, artificial intelligence and digital solutions, modernization of transport and energy infrastructure, and the development of the agri-industrial sector, tourism, and more.

U.S. business leaders thanked the President for the favorable business environment created in the country and presented their proposals and plans to deepen partnerships and launch new initiatives.
