President of Uzbekistan meets with Kuwait’s Foreign Minister
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait, Abdullah Al-Yahya, in the city of Kuwait.
During the talks, issues regarding the continuation of active political dialogue and the expansion of trade, economic, and investment-financial cooperation were discussed, building on agreements reached during the ongoing historic visit to Kuwait.
Particular attention was given to the successful high-level resolution aimed at developing Uzbek-Kuwaiti relations within the framework of comprehensive partnership.
The importance of regular inter-ministerial consultations was emphasized, as well as preparations for the "Central Asia – Cooperation Council of Arab Gulf States" summit, which will be held in Samarkand.
An important outcome of the meeting was the signing of a new cooperation program with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development as part of the visit.
Furthermore, discussions included the prospects of implementing projects in areas such as food security, industrial cooperation, infrastructure, tourism, and others, as well as the possibility of establishing direct air links between the two countries.
