President of Uzbekistan dismisses all deputy ministers of higher education following reform review
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the dismissal of all deputy ministers of higher education, science and innovation.
“In preschool and school education we are seeing positive changes: the existing programs are yielding results. However, those responsible for vocational and higher education still do not fully grasp the essence of the reforms being implemented,” the President stressed during a video conference meeting dedicated to the implementation of educational reforms and future objectives.
In this regard, all deputy ministers of higher education, science and innovation were relieved of their duties: First Deputy Minister Shokhrukh Daliyev, as well as deputies Otabek Makhkamov and Sarvarhon Buzrukhonov.
In addition, due to their transfer to other positions, Adham Khudaykulov, Director of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Presidential Administration, and Sharof Rajabbaev, Director of the Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, were also dismissed.
