President of Uzbekistan arrives in Slovenia on official visit
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has arrived in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, on an official visit at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Nataša Pirc Musar.
At the plane’s stairs, the Uzbek head of state was welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tanja Fajon, along with other official representatives. At Ljubljana Jože Pučnik International Airport, the national flags of both countries were raised and an honor guard was formed to greet the distinguished guest.
According to the visit program, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will hold talks with Slovenia’s President Nataša Pirc Musar, as well as meetings with the leadership of the parliament and government. Additionally, he is scheduled to participate in a joint Uzbek-Slovenian business forum.
During the visit, discussions will focus on deepening trade and economic cooperation, implementing joint projects in industry, pharmaceuticals, electrical engineering, green energy, and agriculture. Attention will also be given to cooperation in labor migration and the expansion of humanitarian ties.
