Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Samarkand to participate in the first "Central Asia - European Union" summit.

Today, an informal meeting is scheduled between the head of state and President of the European Council, Charles Michel.

Tomorrow, bilateral negotiations will take place with the heads of the delegations participating in the summit.

The main multilateral events, involving the heads of Central Asian states and leaders of key EU institutions, are scheduled for April 4.
