Practical Agreements Reached at Meeting of Uzbek and Indian Women Entrepreneurs in India

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation of women entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan, led by the Deputy Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nodira Shotursunova, is currently on a working visit to India. During the visit, a meeting took place with the Women’s Organisation of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI Ladies Organisation).

The discussions focused on the economic potential of Uzbekistan and India, strengthening bilateral ties, and exploring possible areas of cooperation across various sectors.

In her speech, Nodira Shotursunova highlighted the large-scale reforms and opportunities being created in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to support women’s entrepreneurship.

Proposals were put forward to establish educational and professional programs for young women in the field of information technology, exchange experience in the textile industry, and open a training center in Tashkent for women entrepreneurs in the medical sector with assistance from Indian partners.

The meeting resulted in a number of practical agreements:

The head of LLC “Artatex,” N. Bekmuratova, reached an agreement with Namrata Mishra, head of the Indian company “AROGYAM,” on the export of adras fabrics;

The director of the “Lightmedium” clinic, N. Umbarbekova, agreed to involve Indian partners in medical services;

The head of the agency “MPA International Creative Media Agency,” N. Tojiboyeva, signed an agreement with “Pratap University Jaipur” to launch a student exchange program.

In addition, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Women’s Organisation of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

This document aims to develop ties between women entrepreneurs of the two countries, implement international projects, and support new initiatives.
