Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 September 2025, social benefits have been assigned to 720,900 citizens in Uzbekistan, the Agency for Social Protection reported.
The largest group of beneficiaries consists of disability pensioners — 318,500 people. Support is also provided to 171,100 children with disabilities, 91,000 elderly pensioners, over 73,000 citizens receiving care allowances, and 57,000 individuals in the event of the loss of a breadwinner.
In addition, 8,100 lonely elderly people and persons with disabilities receive state assistance, and 5,200 citizens are provided with housing and utility compensation.
In August, benefits were assigned for the first time to 6,600 people. The agency noted that the increase in beneficiaries is linked to simplified application procedures and the digitalization of processes in the social protection system.
