Number of Family Enterprises in Uzbekistan Exceeds 38,000
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The number of family-owned enterprises in Uzbekistan continues to grow. According to the National Committee on Statistics, as of July 1, 2025, the country had 38,234 family enterprises in operation, an increase of 1,969 compared to the beginning of the year.
The largest share of such businesses operates in trade, with 15,264 enterprises. Industry accounts for 8,703 family enterprises, while 7,303 are engaged in accommodation and food services.
In agriculture, forestry, and fisheries, 2,649 family enterprises are registered. The healthcare and social services sector has 646, transportation and storage — 354, construction — 299, and information and communications — 245. A further 2,771 enterprises operate across other sectors.
