Number of drilled wells of Lukoil Uzbekistan grows twice
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company Ltd significantly increased the volume of drilling works in recent years and number of drilled wells rose by 50% in 2007-2008.

The company said currently it completed drilling of 138 wells, including 45 wells in Kandym group of fields, 44 wells at Khauzak-Shady-Kungrad fields and 49 wells – Southern-Western Gissar.

Alexander Jalnin, head of production department on wells drilling of Lukoil Uzbekistan, said that the drilling works were conducted at 13 drilling equipment in 2011 and nine drilling equipment were used in the first half of 2012. Share of drillings makes up 60% of all investments of the operator.

At the same time, the operator concluded a programme on advance drilling at Adamtash and Jarquduq – Yangi Kizilcha gas condensate fields and carries out works within “early gas programme” at Kandym field.

At Kandym, the company drilled three exploration wells at Kuvachi and Parsankul fields in line with the exploration works programme, which was aimed at increasing resource base of Kandym group of fields. In 2013-2015, it is planned to drill ten more exploration well based on 3D seismic data.

The operator also completed drilling of appraisal well at satellite fields to determine gas reserves, its structure and peculiarities to design gas processing plant.

Khauzak field has been launched for full exploitation. Currently, 10 billion cubic meters of gas and condensate was mined here. In November 2011, the operator started to mine gas at Western part of Shady field. It launched 11 wells with average daily gas mining at the volume of 5.7 million cubic meters.

Jalnin said that in the second half of 2012, it is planned to commission two more wells at Western part of Shady. In September 2014, it is planned to launch northern part of the field, he added.

The project “Early gas at Gissar” has been implemented. The operator started to mine gas a Jarkuduk – Yangi Kizilcha field. Five wells with average daily gas mining capacity of 3.3 million cubic meters have been commissioned.

In 2014, it is planned to commission to exploitation Kuvachi-Alat field and mine here 1.5 billion cubic meters of gas in 2015.
