New US$11 Million Textile Enterprise Launched in Tashkent Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new textile enterprise specializing in fabric production and dyeing has been launched in the city of Nurafshon, Tashkent Region. The total investment in the project amounts to US$11 million.
Uzbekistan’s industrial sector continues to show steady growth, with modern production facilities emerging across the country. The textile industry stands out as a priority area due to its export potential, job creation, and attractiveness to foreign investors.
In this context, the newly opened textile factory — Elittex — in Nurafshon is expected to produce up to 450,000 tonnes of fabric annually. The majority of the output is intended for export to CIS countries.
The project has already created 70 new jobs, contributing to employment growth in the region.
According to official data, Nurafshon is currently home to 144 industrial enterprises, with a total investment volume exceeding US$172 million.
