New President of National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan elected
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The Ordinary General Assembly of National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Uzbekistan has been held. Due to expiration of the office term of the incumbent President of NOC of Uzbekistan, the elections of the new President has been held.
Mr Malik Babaev has been elected President of National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan for the period 2009-2012. His previous appointment was the office of Secretary General of NOC of Uzbekistan from 2005 to 2009.
Earlier, Rustam Kurbanov chaired the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.
