Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first half of 2025, almost 10,000 twins were born in Uzbekistan, with the highest numbers recorded in Samarkand, Fergana, and Kashkadarya regions.

Samarkand Region led with 1,197 cases, followed by Fergana Region with 1,172 and Kashkadarya Region with 1,054.

Other regions with high figures included Andijan Region — 883 and Surkhandarya Region — 856.

In the city of Tashkent and Tashkent Region, 730 and 686 twins were born, respectively.

Namangan Region registered 778 births, Bukhara — 486, Khorezm — 544, Jizzakh — 410, Syrdarya — 258, and Navoi — 233.

The Republic of Karakalpakstan recorded 451 twin births during the reporting period.
