More than 1.6 GW of solar energy installed at social, entrepreneurial, and residential facilities in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 August 2025, solar panels with a total capacity of 1,650 MW have been installed at 129,826 sites across Uzbekistan.
Specifically, solar power plants with a capacity of 376.9 MW are operating at 19,904 social sector facilities, 885.4 MW at 29,678 entrepreneurial sites, 361.1 MW on 78,140 residential plots, and panels totaling 26.6 MW have been installed on 2,104 apartment buildings.
Over the first seven months of this year, these solar panels generated 875 million kWh of electricity, which allowed saving 265 million cubic meters of natural gas and reducing harmful gas emissions into the atmosphere by 294 thousand tons.
