Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, who arrived in Tashkent to take part in the events of the International Investment Forum.

At the beginning of the conversation, the Kazakh Prime Minister conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the Uzbek leader from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan.

During the talks, the two sides discussed key aspects of further strengthening the Uzbek-Kazakh strategic partnership and allied relations, with particular attention given to the implementation of high-level agreements previously reached between the two countries.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the steady growth in mutual trade turnover and acknowledged the successful development of joint projects in the automotive industry, electrical engineering, textiles, metallurgy, pharmaceuticals, construction, and the agro-industrial sector.

Special emphasis was placed on the need to develop coordinated measures to further increase trade volumes and to establish a long-term program for industrial cooperation, including at the interregional level.
