Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 April 2025, a meeting of the Working Group for the formation of the "Action Plan" at a high level within the framework of the 8th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye took place at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Experts and representatives from relevant ministries, agencies, and sectoral organizations from both the Turkish and Uzbek sides attended the meeting. Türkiye was represented by Hakkı Burunçu, Director of the Department at the Ministry of Trade, and Uzbekistan by representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, as well as other ministries, agencies, and organizations.

During the meeting, the process of implementing the tasks outlined in the "Action Plan" for the 8th session of the Intergovernmental Commission was discussed in detail. Specific measures were proposed to remove barriers in various areas, and issues regarding the acceleration of the implementation of planned projects were reviewed.

Additionally, the next steps for preparing for the upcoming session of the Intergovernmental Commission and the business forum, which will be held on May 14-15 of this year in Tashkent, were identified.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue effective and systematic work to strengthen mutual ties and achieve the set goals.
