Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Tashkent is set to establish an Association of Meat and Livestock Importers.
According to the city administration, during an extended meeting with more than 70 entrepreneurs engaged in importing meat and livestock, as well as representatives of cattle farms, the main focus was placed on ensuring affordable and high-quality meat for the population, stabilizing prices, and creating convenient conditions for consumers.
“We fully support the initiative of entrepreneurs to establish an Association of Meat and Livestock Importers. This will make it possible to develop a systematic approach to price regulation and to ensuring a stable market supply,” the Tashkent city administration noted.
During the dialogue, entrepreneurs raised issues related to logistics, customs procedures, taxation, and veterinary supervision. Some of these matters were resolved on the spot, while the rest were taken under the supervision of the city administration and relevant agencies.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of the State Tax Committee, the State Customs Committee, the State Veterinary Supervision Authority, the Prosecutor’s Office, and other institutions. Together with entrepreneurs, they will work to ensure stable supplies of meat products to the population.
