Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will pay a state visit to Uzbekistan on 25–26 August.

The main events of the visit will take place in Samarkand.

The agenda of the talks includes the development of political dialogue, strengthening trade, economic, and investment cooperation, fostering partnerships in the chemical, pharmaceutical, agricultural, textile, mining, and other sectors, as well as expanding cultural and humanitarian ties.

The two sides will also exchange views on pressing international and regional issues.

The visit is expected to conclude with the signing of a package of bilateral agreements.
