Khalq Bank to start issuing of VISA cards
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
State joint stock commercial Khalq Bank of Uzbekistan (People’s Bank) has been received to VISA Internаtional as associated member at the meeting of Regional Operational Committee in Singapore.
The Uzbek bank said that in near future Khalq Bank will start to service VISA international banking payment cards.
The bank added that membership at VISA shows that financial, risk and management figures of Khalq Bank meets international requirements.
The associated member status will allow the bank to expand list of services, offered to clients.
In the first stage, it is planned that Khalq Bank will issue three types of cards, VISA Electron, VISA Classic and VISA Gold. The bank is carrying out preparation works to implementation of the project.
