Jewelry Manufacturing Plant Launched in Ferghana

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new jewelry center — a modern enterprise for gold processing and jewelry production — was officially inaugurated in Ferghana.

The ceremony was attended by the regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov, investors, and public representatives.

In his remarks, the governor congratulated participants on the launch of this significant and promising project, noting that under the President’s initiative, all industrial sectors, including jewelry, are actively developing in the country. Reforms are being introduced, support measures and benefits are provided, and the new enterprise stands as a tangible result of these efforts.

Particular attention was given to the historical significance of the event for the region. The opening of the center not only expands opportunities for domestic sales but also paves the way for entry into international markets.

It was emphasized that jewelry craftsmanship has traditionally thrived in the Ferghana Valley, and this project now elevates the craft into a modern industry. The center was fully commissioned within a short timeframe.

In line with the Presidential Decree “On Additional Measures to Support Jewelry Production,” this is the third jewelry center established in Uzbekistan, creating broad opportunities for producers to grow and expand their market reach. Gratitude was expressed to the project initiators and the leadership of the Uzbekzargarsanoati Association for their contribution.

The investors — Turkish entrepreneur Jemil Aklly and Azerbaijani businessman Nail Shakhverdiyev — highlighted that the opening of the center marks only the beginning, expressing readiness to implement future joint projects.

Products of the company AMASTA under the brand name Ferga Gold meet international standards and are designed for promotion in both domestic and foreign markets, thanks to their modern design and high quality.

The enterprise is equipped with advanced technologies, with the project valued at US$6 million. It has created 300 well-paid jobs in the jewelry sector, with 60 employees already hired. The annual output is expected to reach 1.5 tons of jewelry worth a total of 2.2 trillion soums.

The center’s products will be sold domestically and exported to the USA, UAE, Singapore, Türkiye, and China.

As part of the opening ceremony, a symbolic ribbon was cut, and guests toured the production process and finished products.
