International Forum “Dialogue of Declarations” to Be Held in Tashkent and Samarkand

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 10 to 13 September 2025, the II International Forum “Dialogue of Declarations” will take place in Tashkent and Samarkand.

The event is organized by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (ISMI) in partnership with the U.S. NGO “Love Your Neighbor Community” (LYNC), with support from the Committee for Religious Affairs, the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, and the Samarkand regional administration.

The forum continues the first event held in 2022 in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara, which resulted in the adoption of the Bukhara Declaration, later recognized as an official document by the 76th session of the UN General Assembly.

Since 2016, “Dialogue of Declarations” forums have been held in cities including Marrakesh, Mecca, Jakarta, Potomac, and Punta del Este, establishing themselves as authoritative international platforms for promoting enlightenment, religious freedom, and a culture of tolerance. Each forum concludes with conceptual declarations reflecting the key ideas of the event.

The first forum in Uzbekistan took place in 2019 in Tashkent and has since gained recognition as a major international event, allowing the global community to explore the country’s cultural, historical, and religious-philosophical heritage, as well as Uzbekistan’s experience in fostering interfaith harmony, religious tolerance, and an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.

The 2025 forum will host around 50 leading religious scholars, theologians, experts, and high-ranking officials from 15 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, China, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Indonesia, and Central Asian states.

At the conclusion of the forum, a final Address to the World Community will be adopted, calling for the protection of religious minorities’ rights, the elimination of religious discrimination, the development of religious education as a means to counter violent extremism, the affirmation of freedom of religion as a universal human right, and the promotion of equality regardless of religious and cultural differences.

Overall, the II International Forum “Dialogue of Declarations” will serve as a significant contribution to strengthening religious tolerance, mutual respect, generosity, and peaceful coexistence among peoples in the context of global diversity.
