Gas Station Fined in Uzbekistan for Selling Low-Quality Gasoline
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A company in Uzbekistan was held administratively liable for selling low-quality AI-92 gasoline. The inspection was prompted by a complaint from a car owner whose vehicle was damaged after using fuel with a reduced octane rating.
The Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Protection, together with the Uzenergoinspektsiya inspection, conducted a laboratory analysis of the fuel purchased at the gas station owned by Green Dizel. The tests confirmed deviations from the established standards in octane number and several other parameters.
The company compensated the car owner for the damage caused, and an administrative fine was imposed on the gas station.
