Ferghana Region to Build US$300M Hospital with Vision Invest
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Ferghana region in Uzbekistan plans to construct a modern multidisciplinary hospital valued at approximately US$300 million under a public-private partnership framework.
Implementation of the project was discussed during a meeting between Ferghana regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov and senior vice president of Saudi investment company Vision Invest Yousif Al Zuhair.
The parties said the project has moved into an active phase of practical implementation. It includes a full cycle of development works, including design, financing, construction, medical equipment installation, and long-term technical maintenance of the facility.
The project involves the construction of a 10-story hospital with 800 beds, designed to meet international standards of medical care.
According to participants, the facility will be one of the region’s first large-scale healthcare projects implemented through a public-private partnership model.
During discussions, officials noted that the initiative aligns with Uzbekistan’s leadership policy to expand the use of PPP mechanisms, including in the social sector. The project is viewed as a step toward modernizing regional healthcare and improving access to high-quality medical services.
The new hospital is expected to serve not only residents of Ferghana region but also the wider Ferghana Valley and nearby border areas of neighboring countries, significantly strengthening regional healthcare capacity.
Vision Invest representative Yousif Al Zuhair said the region has the necessary infrastructure and conditions for implementation, which he said provides a strong basis for effective launch and long-term operation of the medical complex.
The parties also reviewed the company’s proposals for practical execution of the project.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the regional governor confirmed readiness to provide full support to investors and announced the appointment of responsible officials to coordinate and oversee the project to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
