Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Khayrullo Bozorov, the governor of Ferghana region, met with Manfred Huterer, the Ambassador of Germany to Uzbekistan, to discuss trade, economic, and investment relations, as well as migration and attracting German investors to the region.

Bozorov highlighted that Uzbek-German relations have reached a new stage, with interregional cooperation continuing to expand.

The number of enterprises with German capital in Ferghana is growing. Last year, joint projects with Germany attracted $78 million in foreign investments, and currently, projects worth $158 million are being implemented.

One of the key areas of cooperation is workforce development. The region hosts German language courses and vocational training centers that help prepare specialists in demand in Germany.

Following the meeting, both sides agreed to organize reciprocal visits of business delegations and regional representatives, further strengthening interregional ties and cooperation in all sectors.
