Federation of Squash and Padel Established in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The official opening ceremony of the Uzbekistan Squash and Padel Federation was held at the Central Eco Park named after Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Sports, the National Olympic Committee, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Qatar to Uzbekistan, Hassan Hamza Hashim, former president of the International Esports Federation and representative of International Sport Vlad Marinescu, leaders of the new Federation, as well as squash and padel enthusiasts.
Officials congratulated participants on the establishment of the organization and wished success in promoting the development of these sports. Squash and padel are rapidly gaining global popularity: squash, in particular, has been included in the program of the 2026 Asian Summer Games in Aichi-Nagoya and the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
As part of the ceremony, professional athletes showcased their skills, giving guests an opportunity to gain a closer insight into squash and padel.
