Expansion of Interparliamentary Cooperation Between Uzbekistan and Mongolia Was Discussed In the Senate
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 12 August 2025, a meeting took place in the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan with a parliamentary delegation from Mongolia, led by member of the State Great Khural and member of the Standing Committee on Budget, Tserenpil Davaasuren.
The parties emphasized that the comprehensive partnership between Uzbekistan and Mongolia is based on centuries-old friendship, good-neighborly relations, as well as close trade-economic and humanitarian cooperation. It was noted that the political will and high level of trust between the leaders of the two countries play a key role in strengthening interstate ties.
During the discussion, a detailed exchange of views was held on improving the effectiveness of the interparliamentary cooperation group between the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan and the State Great Khural of Mongolia, as well as organizing joint parliamentary oversight over the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level.
Special attention was given to the timely and full execution of tasks in the agricultural and food sectors, defined within the framework of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Mongolia.
Additionally, prospects for expanding interparliamentary interaction were discussed, enriching it with new content, and exchanging experience in legislative activities.
