Energy Ministers of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic hold second ministerial roundtable on Kambarata HPP-1 project
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26–27 May 2025, the second ministerial roundtable on the Kambarata Hydropower Plant-1 (HPP-1) project was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
During the meeting, clear objectives were agreed upon and concrete deadlines were set to accelerate the implementation of this strategic initiative.
Kambarata HPP-1 is regarded as a key regional project aimed at strengthening energy stability and ensuring effective water resource management in Central Asia. The event was organized by the World Bank, with active participation from its senior representatives.
The roundtable brought together delegations from the ministries of water resources, economy, and finance of the three countries, led by the energy ministers of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic, along with representatives of key energy companies from the region.
