Delegation of CIS exchanges visit State Property Committee of Uzbekistan

During the meeting, representative of the Uzbek committee briefed about exchanges and their activities in Uzbekistan and policy of the government directed at raising the role of exchange in private entrepreneurship, providing free access of businesses to high liquid materials, and forming market prices for goods.

It was said that Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange, according to the assessment of the CIS International Exchange Association, is one of the largest and dynamic developing exchanges in the CIS area.

It was underlined that the State Property Committee in cooperation with other interested bodies is carrying out work on improving legislation base of exchange activity. The delegation was offered to review “On exchange activity” in new edition and gave their recommendations. At the same time, the delegation was advised to visit the committee’s website to familiarize with the exchange activities in Uzbekistan.

In their turn, the guests briefed the Uzbek side on peculiarities of exchange activities in their respective countries.

At the end of the meeting, the sides agreed to keep regular working contacts to further develop cooperation.
