Days of Russian Culture to be held in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 and 30 May, the Days of Culture of the Russian Federation will take place in Tashkent and Samarkand, Uzbekistan. This was announced by the Ministry of Culture of Russia.
The events are organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and aim to promote cultural dialogue and strengthen humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
The program includes concerts by leading Russian pop artists accompanied by the "Phonograph-Sympho-Jazz" orchestra, conducted by the People's Artist of Russia Sergey Zhilin.
On May 29, the official opening of the Days of Russian Culture will be held in Tashkent on the stage of the Uzbekistan International Forum Palace. The concert will feature Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Pelageya, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Volchkov, laureate of the Ministry of Defense of Russia’s Culture and Art Award Alexander Yelovsky, as well as the winner of the TV project "The Voice," Alexandra Vorobyova, among other performers.
In addition to the concert program, visitors will have the opportunity to see the photo exhibition "Russia: Harmony of Nature, Architecture, and People," and the Russian Film Festival will also take place. From May 29 to 31, the Alisher Navoi Cinema Palace in Tashkent will host screenings of contemporary Russian films: “Blood Type” (dir. Maxim Brius), “Cultural Comedy” (dir. Vladimir Kott), “The Return of Parrot Kesha” (dir. Oleg Asadulin), “Fedya. The People’s Footballer” (dir. Nikolay Akelkin), “9 Seconds” (dir. Oleg Shtrom), and “Air” (dir. Aleksey German Jr.).
The holding of the Days of Russian Culture in Uzbekistan underscores the steady dynamic of cultural exchange between the two countries and reflects a shared commitment to deepening bilateral humanitarian ties.
