Car production in Uzbekistan increased in January-February 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In the first two months of 2025, over 53,520 passenger cars were produced in Uzbekistan, slightly exceeding the figure for the same period last year (53,330 units), according to data from the National Statistics Committee.
Among the models manufactured in the country, Chevrolet Cobalt saw a significant increase, with 19,461 units produced—21.1% more than the previous year. Chevrolet Damas production rose by 10.5% to 12,983 units, Chevrolet Tracker by 10.8% to 5,873 cars, and Chevrolet Onix by 25.4%, reaching 6,718 units. All these models are produced by UzAuto Motors.
On the other hand, Chery production declined by 30.5%, totaling 1,392 units, while KIA production saw a slight drop of 0.2% to 4,102 cars. Meanwhile, Haval production experienced a significant surge, increasing 8.3 times to 1,117 units, while BYD production reached 1,912 vehicles.
Additionally, during the reporting period, 3,812 specialized passenger vehicles were manufactured in Uzbekistan, marking a 13.5% increase compared to January-February 2024.
