Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 11 May, the capital of Afghanistan, Kabul, hosted a business meeting titled "Strengthening Business Cooperation", bringing together representatives of the private sectors of Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.

The forum was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) and brought together around 200 business representatives from both countries.

More than 100 entrepreneurs took part from the Uzbek side, including over 40 representatives of the construction materials sector, 21 from the electrical engineering industry, 16 from the food industry, 12 from the textile sector, as well as participants from other fields.

The meeting focused on prospects for expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Key areas of discussion included collaboration in the supply of agricultural and textile products, construction materials, logistics, and transportation services.

As a result of the event, preliminary agreements were reached on a number of promising projects. Direct business contacts were established among participants, and it was agreed to form working groups to further develop and implement joint trade and investment initiatives.

Participants emphasized that such formats help stimulate business dialogue and open up new opportunities for the economic development of both countries.

The meeting also highlighted the need to hold such events on a regular basis in the interest of building a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership.
