Asadkhudja Muydinkhodjaev Wins Gold at World Boxing Championships in Liverpool

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Asadkhudja Muydinkhodjaev claimed the gold medal at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool in the under-65 kg weight category.

In the decisive bout, the Uzbek boxer faced Brazil’s Yuri Reis. After losing the first round, Muydinkhodjaev managed to turn the fight around, winning the next two rounds and securing the world champion title.

This marks the second time in his career that Asadkhudja Muydinkhodjaev has won a world championship title.

With this victory, Uzbekistan’s national team now holds two gold and three bronze medals at the ongoing World Championships.
