Andijan Region’s IT Sector Showcased in the United States: Discussions on Attracting IT Companies to the Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of a visit by the Ministry of Digital Technologies delegation to the United States, a series of meetings and events were held in New York, Pennsylvania, and Florida.
The primary goal of the trip was to expand cooperation with American companies, present the investment potential and IT infrastructure of Uzbekistan’s regions—particularly Andijan—and launch new joint projects.
In New York, the delegation held talks with leaders of IT companies and business associations, discussing support for innovative projects, promoting startups in international markets, and cooperation in artificial intelligence and digital education.
In Philadelphia, meetings were conducted with companies in the IT and logistics sectors. The Uzbek side provided detailed information on business opportunities in the country, including in the Andijan region, residency conditions at IT Park, the Zero Risk program, infrastructure, youth potential, and incentives for foreign investors.
In Florida, the delegation met with representatives of logistics and transportation companies, discussing the introduction of new BPO services in Uzbekistan and the creation of additional industry-specific segments.
During the visit, several initiatives were proposed and directions for bilateral cooperation identified. Following the discussions, agreements were reached to expand partnerships in IT and logistics, implement joint projects, improve the business environment, and develop investment opportunities in the Andijan region.
The visit marked an important step for American companies to gain deeper insight into the favorable conditions established in Uzbekistan for IT and logistics industries, as well as to establish promising partnership connections.
