Akmaljon Isroilov Wins Sixth Gold for Uzbekistan at World Boxing Championships
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Akmaljon Isroilov captured the gold medal in the 85 kg category at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool.
In the final, the Uzbek boxer faced Britain’s Teagn Stott. From the opening seconds, Isroilov seized the initiative and dictated the fight. He convincingly took the first two rounds with identical 5–0 scores, leaving no doubt about his dominance. In the final round, the Uzbek maintained control and confidently secured victory.
With this triumph, Uzbekistan’s tally at the World Championships has risen to six gold, one silver, and three bronze medals.
