AFC to nominate new host for U19 Group D qualifiers
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
The AFC U-19 Championship 2010 Group D qualifying competition will be moved away from Lahore, Pakistan because of the uncertain situation in the country.
It a letter to participating nations, AFC said: “In view of the unfortunate events taking place in different regions of Pakistan, particularly Lahore, the AFC Competitions Committee has decided to nominate another host.”
AFC has invited other participating Member Associations to host the five-team tournament, schedule for December 8-16.
The countries taking part are Iran, Lebanon, Pakistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
