Abdumannop Samikov Posthumously Awarded the Jasorat Medal for Saving Children

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of Uzbekistan has signed a decree posthumously awarding Abdumannop Samikov the Jasorat (Bravery) Medal in recognition of his courage and selflessness.

On 5 May, a tragic incident occurred on the Burjar Canal in Tashkent, where two young girls fell into the water. Without hesitation, Abdumannop Samikov jumped in to save them. He managed to pull the girls out of the canal, but tragically lost his own life in the heroic act.

Samikov was known as a compassionate and helpful individual, always ready to lend a hand. The President extended heartfelt condolences to his wife and children.

The Jasorat Medal was also awarded to Nurmukhammad Mamasaliyev, an employee of the Burjar sports complex, who also demonstrated bravery during the rescue operation.

This incident has become a powerful example of human dignity, mutual support, and unity in society, where acts of bravery and kindness are rightly honored.
