A New Procedure for Accreditation of Educational Institutions in Uzbekistan Approved
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — By Resolution No. 498 dated 6 August 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan has approved regulations governing the comprehensive and specialized state accreditation of educational institutions.
The document covers organizations engaged in educational activities at the levels of secondary specialized, vocational, higher, and postgraduate education, as well as institutions involved in retraining and advanced training of personnel.
According to the approved procedure, the state accreditation process consists of four consecutive stages: submission of an application, internal quality assessment of educational activities, external expertise, and the final decision on accreditation.
Applications for specialized state accreditation of educational programs are accepted annually from October 1 to January 31. The application must be accompanied by a copy of the license or certificate of state registration of the legal entity, confirmation of payment of the established fee for application review, and information about the employee responsible for organizing and supporting the accreditation process.
Applications are reviewed within no more than 15 working days. If the accreditation decision is positive, the educational institution is issued the relevant certificate within one week. This document officially confirms the completion of specialized state accreditation and grants the right to conduct training under the accredited educational program.
