A Minor Returned from Russia to Uzbekistan After Being Left Without Parental Care
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 5 June 2025, with the assistance of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, a minor citizen of Uzbekistan who had been left without parental care was returned to Uzbekistan.
The child’s father is a labor migrant, and due to improper documentation, he was unable to retrieve his son from the temporary detention center.
Upon arrival in Tashkent, the minor was handed over to his mother through the “Inson” Social Services Center. Social support for the child will continue at his permanent place of residence.
Thanks to the effective cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Agency for Social Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as of 5 June 2025, a total of 56 minors have been returned to their homeland.
