17-Year-Old Boy Drowns in Burdjar Canal in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 22 August, a 17-year-old boy tragically drowned in the Burdjar Canal in Tashkent. The incident occurred on the territory of the Seoul Mun shopping and entertainment complex, the press service of the General Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan reported.

According to available information, the teenager jumped into the water to retrieve a fallen cap. The city’s emergency services continue search operations in the canal.
