17 foreign companies plan to open offices in Uzbekistan following the “Growth Point” Forum
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 21 to 23 May, Tashkent hosted the international forum “Growth Point: Uzbekistan for Digital Business,” organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and IT Park Uzbekistan.
The three-day event became a major milestone on the region’s digital map, bringing together over 160 representatives of leading IT companies, BPO providers, digital agencies, game development studios, and creative industries from the CIS and beyond. The forum highlighted Uzbekistan’s growing role as a technological hub and opened new prospects for business localization, export growth, and international cooperation.
The first day of the forum, held at IT Park Uzbekistan, was dedicated to strategic discussions on digital transformation. Opening remarks were delivered by Oleg Pekos, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies, and Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, Director General of IT Park, who outlined the government's top priorities: expanding export potential, scaling the IT ecosystem, and supporting foreign investors.
Participants heard from industry leaders and explored successful case studies of companies already established in Uzbekistan. Dmitry Falaleev, CEO of Voice Solutions VB, spoke about the potential of voice technology outsourcing; Elnara Velieva, Director of Forward Gateway, shared insights into mobile gaming and game development; and Hasan Salikhov, head of Artcraft studio, presented the international expansion of creative service exports.
On 22 May, the forum shifted to hands-on workshops and consultations. Attendees received detailed guidance on how to start a business in Uzbekistan—from company registration and opening bank accounts to accessing government support programs like Zero Risk and tapping into the local talent pool. These sessions proved especially valuable for international teams considering Uzbekistan as a gateway to the CIS and broader global markets.
23 May featured a "One Stop Shop" format, offering fast-track company registration services. In collaboration with the Public Services Center, legal entities for five foreign companies were successfully registered on-site. These companies are now in the process of applying for IT Park residency. Another 12 companies confirmed their plans to open local offices and join IT Park in the near future. In total, 17 foreign companies expressed intentions to establish operations in Uzbekistan as a direct result of the forum.
Currently, IT Park hosts more than 2,800 registered companies, with 209 actively exporting services to CIS countries. Over 650 residents export services to global markets, including Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and North America.
In 2025 alone, 18% of IT Park’s total exports were directed to the CIS. This figure is more than just a statistic—it reflects a steady trend supported by concrete developments. The influx of international companies signals the creation of new jobs, knowledge transfer, and the strengthening of local expertise.
Human capital plays a pivotal role in building this ecosystem. With the launch of specialized accelerators and large-scale workforce development initiatives, Uzbekistan is clearly investing in sustainable, long-term growth. Joint projects with international firms in software development, customer service, marketing, and business analytics are shaping a resilient export-driven service model.
The “Growth Point” forum proved to be more than just a dialogue platform—it marked the beginning of a new chapter in development. Uzbekistan is not only creating a business-friendly environment but also demonstrating maturity in managing digital transformation. As it evolves into a technological and creative hub in Eurasia, the country is confidently positioning itself as a regional center for digital business.
