12 Wanted Uzbek Citizens Extradited from UAE

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Twelve Uzbek nationals who had been placed on international wanted lists and apprehended in the United Arab Emirates have been extradited to Uzbekistan.

The operation was made possible through effective coordination and strengthened bilateral cooperation between the National Central Bureaus of Interpol in Uzbekistan and the UAE.

During an online meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in operational and investigative activities and locating suspects, both sides discussed mechanisms to expedite extradition procedures.

A preliminary agreement was reached regarding the extradition of three individuals accused of various criminal offenses. An in-person meeting was scheduled for final coordination following the arrival of the Uzbek escort team in the Emirates.

During the visit to Abu Dhabi, representatives of the Tashkent Interpol National Central Bureau held constructive talks with the leadership of the UAE Interpol NCB and the Dubai Police. The primary focus of the discussions was the search for fugitives hiding in the Emirates. Both parties exchanged lists of suspects and agreed to intensify joint efforts to locate them.

As a result of the agreements reached, it was decided to extradite 12 Uzbek citizens who had been evading justice. They will now face criminal charges in Uzbekistan. The extradition of these individuals serves as further evidence of the effectiveness of international cooperation in combating transnational crime.
